Information

The Phantom is essentially a Detonator Droid with a cloaking device.  Although it is slower and doesn't do as much damage, it has an interesting special ability.

When set to hold position (by pressing the 'S' key while selected), the Phantom becomes less visible.  In fact, it's actually invisible to your enemies!  This means that they function as landmines.  Note that this does not work when in an enemy base, only at your own.

When a base is known to have Phantoms deployed, try to sweep for them with durable or expendable units, as many weaker units can be instantly destroyed by an exploding Phantom.

Unlocking

The Phantom is not normally available as a research option!

The Phantom must be unlocked before it can be researched.

Currently, the Phantom blueprint can be purchased and used for 5,000 Frazil chips in the Eclipse event.

Can also be obtained by completing Phantom epic. Send out quick repair ground droids to clear Phantoms.
