Despite these strengths, Curiosity has a significant downside. Its weapon takes an entire 4 seconds to recharge. This makes it vulnerable to being swarmed, or attacked by very tough units.
Also, one overlooked aspect of the Curiosity is that it inflicts significant damage to transports while outrunning and having a greater range than all of them. This means that with the right controls and a bit of time, a small pack of 3-4 Curiosity rovers can destroy even top-level Hunters without getting hit.
The Curiosity is not normally available as a research option!
The Curiosity must be unlocked before it can be researched. Currently, there are two ways to do this.
One way is to defeat Kirat in the Gale Crater challenge on Epic difficulty.
Alternatively, the Curiosity blueprint is available in the Eclipse event for 15,000 Frazil chips.
